The successful company is selling all typical products required by customers via its supermarkets in Nuremberg and Weiden as well as through a delivery service for the whole of Bavaria.

From ingredients for pizza and pasta to selected edible fish or special Asian spices – Italian and Asian restaurants can always expect top-quality products from this food retailer. A total of 70 GVS employees working in Nuremberg and Weiden ensure that customers want for nothing.

GVS Utilizes State-of-the-Art Technology

GVS has an ultra-modern cash and carry supermarket in Nuremberg
which meets the latest technological standards. “Everything is state-of-the-art in here – from the deep-freezing technology to our new labels which are managed using standard light sources“, explains managing director Martin Huster. “Investing in modern technology and equipment is the only way for us to withstand the constant price pressure in the retail sector and to guarantee a high level of quality at the same time. Both the quality and price of the products we sell are attractive.“

It is therefore no surprise that GVS selected a business IT solution based on the objective of cost reduction. In the year 2002, the trading company decided to implement the CSB-System solution to drive the company‘s growth with the support of information technology.
